We will make sure you have strategic planning established to help coaches, participants and parents work towards a common goal, avoid burnout, and stay motivated.
Lee Smith- Founder
Passionate about player development, coaching education, and advancing the game of soccer. To this end, he has been serving as a coaching instructor since 2001 in Tennessee, Georgia, and Alabama. He has been a national instructor with the US Youth Soccer organization since 2012. From 2012-2017 he was the TN State Soccer Association Director of Coaching where he oversaw the Coaching Education, Olympic Development Program (ODP), TOPSoccer, and Soccer Across America programs. He is a published author of 3 soccer coaching books, “The Complete Coaches Manual for U6 (U8, U10) Soccer, and has written articles for “Upper 90 Magazine” and “GoalNation.” Major accomplishments since 1997 include serving as Director of Coaching for several clubs, starting a FUTSAL Program in Atlanta, being a Regional TN ODP Staff coach for several years, and serving as UTC’s college goalkeeping coach. Another career highlight has been taking ODP teams overseas and coaching them in games against international professional academy teams including the Brazilian Youth National Team, Tottenham academy, Eintracht Frankfurt academy, West Ham academy and Cambridge. He often presents seminars at ODP, US Youth Soccer workshops, NSCAA convention, and various clubs. Lee has his USSF A License, National USSF Instructors License, National Youth License, TOPSoccer Diploma, and Director of Coaching Diploma.
Outside of his soccer career, he has his Bachelors of Science in Sports Administration from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC) and received a Masters of Arts in Education from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). He presently teaches physical education, building on his is 12+ years teaching experience at elementary, high school, and college levels.
